SCENE.
(PSST: Before anything, Sophie gave me this idea by writing her story with Lashen ;))
~
Title: Scene
Genre: Perhaps mystery~ Genre can be whatever you choose it to be.
Plot: A boy's body is found dead.
Setting: ?
Juice:
It's still in thought but perhaps. . .
Perhaps a person would take the challenge to write this story.
What's the juice you ask?
The simplicity,
And the complexity.
Chapter 1 will simply tell you a sentence.
A boy is found dead.
Chapter 2: (Insert Name)
Interview with that person's name.
Chapter 3: (Insert Name)
Etc. etc.
What's going to happen with this story is eventually,
You begin interviewing more and more people.
Somewhere in the story, you may interview someone again.
You find out truths,
You find out secrets about each person.
You find out everything that you can,
And everything is revealed.
~
To restate,
I was reading Sophie's story about St. John which suddenly reminded me of a story idea I came up with a long time ago.
To make it clearer, here is an example.
Chapter 1:
"Matt? Matt, if you're there call me back as soon as possible.
A kid's been found dead."
Chapter 2: Laura
The lights above her golden hair flickered.
"Laura, thank you for joining us." I said, still drowsy from the horrible nightmare last night.
"That's fine." Laura's brown eyes looked down at her hands where she fumbled with her thumbs.
~~
Something along that way.
I really like this idea because of the fact that it's challenging and I most likely won't write it.
I'm expecting the plot in a general sense to go like this:
Chapter 1~ The sentence of death.
|
|
| Interviews
|
|
| Somewhere in the middle, you find something interesting. You interview someone you already interviewed before.
|
|
| More Secrets and Plot-Twists
|
|
| Final Ending which is another plot-twist.
~~
Note:
One thing to recognize about this is that the story ideas section is open for ANYONE to write and ANY PART of it is open.
Meaning, you can take the idea of the title.
And TOTALLY not follow the plot.
That's up to you, but it's just an idea~
If it was me,
I may do a plot-twist such as person, "Matt (who is the writer in a way)," is the killer and finds that out.
One interviewer asks, "Stop, just stop questioning me! You people are so sure of yourself! I already told you, I don't know. He was wearing a blue coat and that's all I saw! Okay? In fact, he looked like you! How do you know you're not the killer, huh?"
Matt stopped and noticed something in his past.
There was one night with drinking.
One night of darkness,
One night of screaming.
". . . Thank you, you may go."
~~
For the mini-plot twists in the middle, these may include a detour in which a girl that he interviews grabs Matt's hand, stares in his eyes, and says, "They're coming for me. Please, please help me."
Matt gets caught up in the scenario of the little girl's abusive home but in the end of that little 'detour', a hint is revealed about the original death scene.
These things all would make the story very interesting :)
Overall, for the ending,
I'm hoping for a plot-twist or a sad ending.
One that leaves you going,
"Wow. . . That's just. . . Sad."
Almost like how jazz music ends abruptly sometimes--if that makes sense.
~~~~~
Overall:
~Note: Threads in this story is just for guides. You don't have to follow the story's plot, AT ALL but if you feel like it, you may. Anything here is open for thoughts.
~A simple story yet complex story at the same time.
~~Focusing on an interview-chapter fashion. A new person is spotlighted in each chapter and it slowly reveals the chilling story.
Well, what do you guys think?
Anyone like this idea?
Anyone up for it?
:) Ahah~
