What a Bridge
I simply stand,
And stare,
At this endless bridge,
In this endless air.
||||||||
||||||||
Excluded from my group,
A group that once accepted and cared,
Now sees me as useless,
But a crying child that's scared.
| | || ||
| | | ||| |||| |
A past companion spreads a rumor
To the sky and the sun.
My reputation, my happiness,
Fried under the sun.
||| | | ||||| | | |
||||| | |||| |
Leaving this place I once called home,
With no hugs or kisses,
Or prayers or smiles,
Or best wishes.
|| | || |||| | || | ||
||| | | |

. . .
And this is the bridge to cross,
That I must walk across.
I guess, if anything,
Don't look down.
"What a Bridge."
I simply stand,
And stare,
At this endless bridge,
In this endless air.
